Aston Martin Tickford Capri explained.
In the early 1980's a 2.8i Cologne engined Capri was transformed by the addition of a Japanese IHI turbocharger mounted in front of the engine, and a large Garret intercooler. This pushed the BHP figure up from 160 to 205, and gave it a top speed of 140mph. Induction was taken care of by a Bosch K/Jetronic fuel injection system. The addition of six fibreglass bodywork panels made it a real head turner. The price of this was £14,985, £6,332 more than a standard 2.8i.  A front grille panel and air dam, rear valence, two side skirts, plus a rear spoiler made this Capri look like no other. Disc brakes all round, LSD, A-frame location kit on the rear single leaf springs helped make this Capri go and stop as good as it looked. Interior upgrades included a polished walnut facia panel and walnut cappings on the doors, Recaro seats were available in full leather at extra cost, as well as Wilton carpet. The standard electric windows and sliding sunroof remained.  Only a limited number of these Capri's were made, so if you see one make sure you go and have a closer look.
